MOF HOLDS A CAREER SEMINAR IN 2 SCHOOLS!

I am delighted to share this progress of Michael ORTNER  Foundation.
On the 22nd February, 2011, I was able to hold a career development seminar in two schools- Nawanyago Primary School and Nawanyago College school in Kamuli District, Busoga Region in Eastern Uganda.
This is the first program for this family foundation to run, I should confess that the inadequacy of funds to be able too register the foundation in time has delayed all the programs intended to be run for the benefit of the needy communities, especially the youth!
However, having gone through a an environment with such a background of school education, though not directly in such same setting of school. I have been able to track the level of academic difference between children in the 1st world schools especially those in towns or cities and those in the rural set up.
Usually, those in the Urban schools and whose parents are better off to meet the academic requirements do excel and have an excellent academic transcript record, so are their opportunities extensive, as compared to those who can not afford such demands at school to attain such excellent academic results.

Having been to good schools, such exposure and acknowledgment of what the world has contributed to my success and what exactly has been aid tools to building my life to a road where I position myself to be needed in this country, gives me a reason to return to my fellow youth at such levels; those who have lost hope and have never had hope that they can become something, those who are the potential quality Human resource assets in the future, but because they do not know, they have probably taken it that their presence in school is to grow to a marriageable age and marry.
I have at all times thought about girls who get pregnant in school, others forced into early marriages, while others because of poor performances give up school and resort to marriage, while boys to marry and resort to idleness in communities, the basis of which is crime involvement, since they lack developmental activities to occupy them.

I have been able to embrace Theodore Roosevelt's words, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are!"
With the propound principle of African Freedom fighter, "education is the most powerful tool that you can use to change the world." Nelson Mandela"
so have I picked up from where he ended to inspire these little ones, these, our young brothers and sisters with the great inspiration speeches of Abraham Lincoln, "if others have, then we can, that indeed, H.E. Obama used the, and they have worked for him, that Ben Carson's mother used them and Carson became such a dependable Human Resource in the medical field, beginning with a turn around of results from School.

Through this program I am able to share with them my life testimony- that involves reading various kinds of books, not only class books, what has been the success principles that have guided me to become a person whom many of them can look up to, as a model, such that they can have hope restored to believe, that,
"our future has nothing to do with how rich we are at home, but obedience to the pursuit of a set plan, of a passion, of a destiny of life one desires to live and the world will open doors where only walls existed.

In conclusion of this; schools recommended the program and proposed I keep with them, talking to these school going children about such education career goals and life!
It makes a difference, and this will be incorporated into the programs of the foundation.
"words are so powerful to develop a character of such youth, to come to the knowledge that potential is in us to, build a society, a society which we shall go out of this world rejoicing that indeed, we have created an environment where our children and their children will live a comfortable life, a life with a strong culture of democratic leadership, where our government officials shout with songs of liberal Godly leadership anthem,  leadership not on basis on benefit, but on the basis of service to the community, leadership developed on the core values of nationalism and patriotism, rooted i justice and righteousness of God.
Abraham Lincoln once said, "As I wouldn't be a slave so I wouldn't be a master. This is my true understanding of democracy.whatever differs from this to the extent of the difference is not democracy."
The change we desire to see in the world (in our community, our country and our continent begins with us, and this is the essence of MOF CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM!
